Where do we fly to?

The island is Santorini (also known as Thira) and part of Greece, the airport to fly to is Thira (JTR), Santorini Greece. It’s a four hour flight from U.K., two hours from Rome and 45 mins from Athens. You can get direct flights from most European capitals.

The island Capital is Fira and it’s a 10-15 min drive from the airport to the centre of town.  Taxi or private car hire is easy from the airport.  It’s worth hiring a car, or lots of people hire motor bikes or quad bikes from the hotel they are staying in.

Who flies there?

The main British airlines fly from Manchester and London - British Airways and EasyJet.  Aegean is the Greek airline.

Is it worth getting a package holiday?

Most likely, there are lots of hotels you can book online but TUI and Thomas Cook do packages, these will include flights and hotel so should work out cheaper.  We’ll confirm where we are staying when we book, should be in March sometime.

P&P will probably fly in the 4th or 5th July and stay for a week before going on our honeymoon (yay!)

Where is the best hotel to stay for the wedding?

The Wedding is a 5 min drive from the centre of Fira, so best place to stay is in and around Fira. You can find hotels online and as above, package holidays are best and have been recommended by our wedding planner. We will add recommended hotels and villas to the Q&A part of the site and P&P will help people booking accommodation, if required.

Where is the wedding and what time does it start and finish?

Wedding ceremony and reception is in Santorini Gem, next to the famous Santo Wines, and 5 mins drive from the centre of Fira.  Starting at 17:30(PM) and finishing at 12:30(AM)
